Folláin produces No Added Sugar Jam and Marmalades. Using only natural ingredients, these preserves are sweetened with grape juice instead of sugar and thickened with natural pectin.
Our ‘No Added Sugar’ range of preserves is very convenient for those wishing to reduce the sugar content of their diet. It is also recommended for diabetics wishing to use a no added sugar jam or marmalade. A heaped teaspoon (15 grams) of Folláin No Added Sugar jam or marmalade only contains approximately 25 kcals and 5 grams carbohydrate. Compare this with a normal jam or marmalade where similar amount (15 grams) contains approximately 40 kcals and 10 grams carbohydrate.
‘No Added Sugar’ fruit jams and marmalades can be used in a variety of ways including as a spread on wholemeal bread, toast, bagels or scones. They can also be used as a fruit sweetener when making smoothies or milk shakes or as filling in fruit-filled pancakes, spread on a fruit kebab and barbequed or added to natural yoghurt to make a flavored.
