Preheat the oven to 180ºC/350ºF/gas mark 4.
Soak four wooden skewers in a bowl of water for about 20 minutes, so that
they don't burn during cooking. Cut the onion into 6 wedges, and then
separate the layers on each wedge. Thread the steak chunks, onion
wedges and pepper chunks onto the skewers and season well with salt and
freshly ground black pepper, then rub with oil. Heat a griddle pan until hot
and sear the kebabs until golden-brown on all sides. Transfer to the oven
and bake for 5-7 minutes, or until cooked to your liking. Serve the kebabs on
a plate with rice and some
Folláin Tomato or Fire Roasted Pepper Relish in a bowl on the side for dipping.
