Folláin Mince Pies

Try this interesting take on Mince Pies using Folláin’s delicious Mincemeat.

  • 1 Jar Folláin’s Mulled Wine and Winter Berry Jam
  • 1 Roll Chilled Pastry
  • 1 Beaten egg or milk


  1. Roll out a rectangle, fold in half lengthways and cut 2 smaller rectangles, then cut both smaller rectangles into eight equal sections.
  2. You now have 16 rectangles in total.
  3. Brush edges of rectangles with a little of the beaten egg or milk.
  4. Put a dessertspoon of Follain mincemeat in the centre of each piece of pastry.
  5. Fold over dough and press the three edges tightly together to make parcels.
  6. Prick top of parcels with a fork and brush with beaten egg or milk.
  7. Place the parcels on a greased baking tray.
  8. Bake in a hot oven 210 oC for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. To Serve: Serve hot with cream, ice cream, crème fraiche, or custard.
