Folláin mess

Take this delightfully simple dessert on the road with you by packing them into leftover Folláin jars.

Strawberry Jam

  • 2 Meringue Nests
  • Handful Fresh strawberries
  • 200ml Double cream
  • 4 tbsp Folláin Strawberry Jam
  • Optional Sprig of fresh mint


  1. Use your hands to crumble the meringue nests. Set aside.
  2. Wash and slice the strawberries into quarters.
  3. Whisk the double cream until thickened. Add the strawberry jam and mix well.
  4. In your clean jam jars, add a layer of meringue followed by a dollop of cream and finally some fresh strawberries.
  5. Repeat this until the jar is full and you have a good even distribution of each ingredient. Top with a sprig of mint and serve. The mix will keep in the jar for a few hours in the fridge.
