  • 75ml Whiskey ⁠
  • Juice of 1 Lemon ⁠
  • 1 Egg White⁠
  • 1tbsp Follain Orange Marmalade⁠
  • 4 drops Angostura Bitters⁠
  • 35ml


  1. Place the Folláin Orange Marmalade in a small non-stick saucepan over a medium heat and pour in the water.
  2. Stir and bring to the boil. Handle very carefully.
  3. Once the marmalade has dissolved, take the pan off the heat and leave to cool.
  4. Pour 15ml/1 tablespoon of the cooled marmalade syrup into a cocktail shaker with the whiskey, lemon juice, egg white and bitters.
  5. First, ‘dry shake’ the mixture (without any ice) vigorously for 8-10 seconds.
  6. Then fill the cocktail shaker with ice and shake again for the same amount of time for smooth texture.
  7. Strain the whiskey sour into a rocks glass using a strainer and a fine mesh strainer or regular kitchen sieve.
