Home Made Cleaning Spritz

Natural cleaning

This home made cleaning spritz is made using as many natural ingredients as possible, enhanced with a sprig of rosemary (one of our favourite herbs) and stored in one of our gorgeous little pots – what’s not to love? 🤷‍♀️💚

Prep time: 10 minutes

Materials

  • 1 cup distilled white vinegar
  • 1 cup water
  • 10-15 drops of essential oil (such as lemon, lavender, tea tree, or eucalyptus for their natural antibacterial properties)
  • sprig of woody herb (we used rosemary, thyme would be nice too)
  • optional: 1 teaspoon liquid dish soap (for extra grease-cutting power)
  • Drill
  • Glue

Method

  1. In an empty jar, mix the distilled white vinegar and water. Vinegar is a natural disinfectant and deodoriser, making it perfect for cleaning surfaces.
  2. Add the mix of essential oils. Add a teaspoon of liquid dish soap to the mix (which helps in breaking down tough grease, but it’s optional)
  3. Using a basic drill, make a hole in the lid of the jar.
  4. Close the spray bottle, seal with glue, and shake well to mix all the ingredients. Be sure to shake it before each use, as the ingredients can separate over time.
