Ingredients

  • 1 cup Flahavans Rolled Oats
  • 2 cups Milk (dairy or plant-based like almond or oat milk)
  • 2 Fresh Oranges
  • 1 tablespoon Folláin's No Peel Marmalade
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon of honey/maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground ginger
  • A pinch of salt
  • Handful Roasted chopped nuts (like almonds or walnuts)

Method

  1. Zest the orange and set the zest aside, then, cut the orange in half and juice it.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine the rolled oats, milk, a pinch of salt, cinnamon, and ground ginger.
  3. Add half of the orange juice (save the rest for later). Stir well.
  4. Cook the porridge over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the oats are soft and the mixture has thickened to your liking, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Once the porridge is cooked, turn off the heat and stir in the tablespoon of our No Peel Marmalade, and the honey/maple syrup (test for sweetness)

  7. Divide the porridge into bowls
  8. Top each bowl with a sprinkle of orange zest and the remaining orange juice for an extra zesty flavor.
  9. Segment second orange and split between two bowls.
  10. Top with roasted nuts.
